Barcelona may turn their attention to Borussia Dortmund's Ousmane Dembele, with their attempts to lure Liverpool's Phillipe Coutinho to the Nou Camp looking as though they've failed.
Dembele was the Catalan club's top target last summer, but the French winger opted for Dortmund in a bid to receive consistent game time - which he did. Dembele has mustered an incredible 20 assists and nine goals in his debut campaign in the Bundesliga; becoming a crucial member of Thomas Tuchel's team.
However, Dembele could be set to leave the Westfaldstadion. AS report that the 19-year-old (who turns 20 on May 15) would be happy to link up with Lionel Messi and company after finding out that he was the number one priority for the Blaugrana last summer
Barcelona could also look to take advantage of a fractured backroom situation at Dortmund. Manager Thomas Tuchel has reportedly fallen out with his technical staff and Dembele could seek a move away to avoid any problems that the team could undergo.
Dembele's market value has supposedly tripled in the last twelve months; Barcelona could have to fork out north of £25m for a player that would've cost them £10m last year.
